The office is closed from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. for lunch each business day.
Question? What is a "board certified" real estate attorney?
Answer! Attorney's who are Board certified in Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization have exceptional experience in law covering land and improvements as well as the use, acquisition, development, financing and transfer of said property. The board certified attorney has knowledge of statutory and case law and governmental regulations concerning real estate and its use. Ms. Tavel is board certified in residential real estate law, but other areas include commercial, and residential as well as farm and ranch.
A board certified attorney in real estate law must have:
attended continuing education seminars pertaining to real estate law to maintain current legal training
practiced law for at least five years
a certain percentage of their practice devoted to real estate law for at least three years
completed various complex real estate law matters to show experience
evaluations from fellow judges and lawyers
passed a thorough examination concerning real estate law
